We've read the first 3 chapters of "A Long Walk to Water" by Linda Sue Park and have been introduced to the two main characters Nya and Salva. Nya spends most of her day fetching a bucket of water for her family. Water is a very precious resource. I'd like you to reflect on your own water usage by completing the following tasks:
First, use the water calculator (http://www.watercalculator.org/) to see how much water your family uses every day. Make notes as you are observe your water use, it will make it easier to complete your padlet. Second, use the padlet link here (https://padlet.com/jaragon3/px7ffeesfx6w) to complete your first post about your water usage. Below are the questions I would like you to consider. You MUST answer question number one and then you may choose two others. Each question response should be it's own padlet post, for a total of 3. How much water did you and your family use? Were you surprised at the amount of water you use? Do you think it is excessive or necessary? Which question or use of water when completing the water calculator survey surprised you the most? In looking at the results, do you think we use a lot of water in your area? What are some ways you can think of to conserve water? Do you think useable water will ever run out? Third, comment on another person's padlet post. Feel free to ask questions or make comparisons about your water usage to theirs.
